Karlsruhe, Frankfurt am Main
Part-time
Intern / Student

Short Description

Would you like to actively help shape the energy transition while gaining deep insights into the world of Power-to-X, e-fuels, and sustainability assessments? As a working student or intern, you can support us in the technical and environmental assessment of our processes and plants.
#sort: 175#SPM#

Your tasks

  • Conducting and evaluating process simulations for Power-to-X and e-fuel processes
  • Preparing and plausibility-checking mass and energy balances
  • Investigating different process configurations and operating cases
  • Supporting the creation and further development of Product Carbon Footprints (PCF) and Life Cycle Assessments (LCA)
  • Calculating and assessing greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption, and CO₂ savings
  • Supporting ISCC certification and the related technical documentation
  • Collecting, structuring, and plausibility-checking process, energy, and emissions data
  • Researching regulatory and methodological requirements, particularly for e-fuels and RFNBOs
  • Further developing internal calculation methods, models, and templates
  • Collaborating with process engineering, technology development, operations, and other specialist departments

Your profile

  • Advanced studies in process engineering, chemical engineering, environmental engineering, energy and environmental technology, or a comparable technical field
  • Interest in Power-to-X, e-fuels, process simulation, and sustainability assessment
  • Ideally, initial experience with process simulations, e.g. Aspen Plus, Aspen HYSYS, or comparable tools
  • Initial exposure to LCA, PCF, carbon accounting, or sustainability certification is an advantage
  • Good understanding of mass and energy balances as well as thermodynamic relationships
  • Confident use of Excel
  • Analytical, structured, and independent way of working
  • Very good German and English skills

About us

Together we want to do our part for a future worth living! You too?
For us, that means working today on sustainable solutions for tomorrow. This is exactly what we are doing with the further development and scaling of our innovative technologies for the production of CO2-neutral e-fuels and e-products.

We are pioneers in this field and welcome  enthusiastic employees who will tackle and grow with us to make a  climate-neutral future a reality. Only together we can achieve the necessary  speed for this mission - which is why the team concept is our top priority. We  take responsibility for each other and with each other, and we inspire each  other. Every day.
